This family has to be one of THE MOST joyful, whimsical, carefree families I’ve ever photographed! ✨🌱💕From frolicking in the field to running in circles, plucking buttercups and blowing wishes, these little girls were bursting with happiness from start to finish and– despite me being SUPER pregnant/mildly out of shape–it was so refreshing, chasing them around, listening to their sweet giggles😍The mama and I met through a local photographer group and let me tell you, her wedding work is stunning. This fall, they’ll welcome their third child and the gratitude she exudes is overwhelmingly evident in every image. As she once told me, she’s just so thankful to have the family she’s always dreamed of. Cue the tears. 😭Wishing you all the best, my friend.

You know when you meet someone for the first time and you can just tell they’re wise beyond their years? You sense a certain level of maturity only gained by experiencing difficulty and struggle earlier in life? That’s what I noticed in my friend Emilee during our first encounter and after getting to know her over the past two years, I’ve discovered hers is a story of strength, resiliency, ambition and love. 7 years ago she was 17, single and pregnant. She felt hopeless, depressed and alone. But then a year later she met Mike and her entire world changed. She began to feel worthy, happy and loved. She started her own very successful newborn photography business (Moments By E. Rose) and became determined to rise above her circumstances, working hard for what she wanted. And now here she is at 24, recently married, expecting baby #3 and living the life she had once only dreamed about.Emilee, I’m so proud of you and it was such a honor to photograph your family. If it wasn’t for the MamaTogs- South Jersey group, I would’ve never met such a kind, creative, driven woman who I look up to very much— despite me being almost 9 years older😂I’m blown away by how far you’ve come and I’m thankful to call you my friend.

Three tiny babies— all under the age of ten months— one sister, two brothers— the most perfect siblings—a miracle more than a decade in the making.

For years, their mommy and daddy tried to conceive— but month after month, they faced the reality of infertility.

After many losses and years of waiting for their family to grow, 2019 surprised them with not only the adoption of their son, but also with the birth of twins.

And now, Thea & Alek are four months old, growing like weeds and quickly becoming fond of their big brother Erik.

While Erin & Brian make it look easy raising three infants all at once, these parents share the same struggles any mom & dad does— triple fold.

    Triple the wakings.
    Triple the diapers.
    Triple the tears.

But they had ten years of hoping for this,
    Yearning for this,
Praying for this blessing we call parenthood.

So each wailing cry reminds them they are wanted.
Each aching muscle reminds them they are needed.
Each tender grasp reminds them they, too, are loved in return.

This family’s hands—and hearts—are fuller than they ever dreamed possible. Three babies all at once, more than they ever hoped for, a miracle beyond measure.

    Warm pink sinking sand.
    A peach setting sun.
A gentle mother anchored to her three well-behaved, beautiful boys,
    All embracing lovingly, poetically.
Very well, perfection in the making.

As promised, here are a few of my favorites from #theDreamMakersretreat I attended in Utah!

This particular session was styled & directed by the talented Jodi Lynn Buckles of Jodi Lynn Photography at #CoralDunesStatePark just southeast of #ZionNationalPark.

Within the next couple weeks, we will soon find out out where we will be moving next!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 #militarylife 📦🌎 On one hand, I’m excited to FINALLY know where we will be living the next 2-3 years.. but on the other hand, completely anxious knowing how much house-hunting, school-searching, and endless hours of purging/packing/organizing that’s entailed in each move— especially with a tiny brood underfoot.
There’s also a chance we may go overseas— which makes it all the more potentially complicated. I’ve gone back and forth weighing the options and I’ve decided to just sit back and BREATHE while we await official orders (#easiersaidthandone). And by breathe, I mean focus on my family and take a loooong, much-needed break after the busiest season I’ve ever had running my business.
So that’s why you haven’t seen much of me here on social media😉 The boys and I have been visiting family in Alabama (ask me about that 14-hour road trip, I dare you🤪, enjoying lots of story time reading (checking out no less than 25 books from the library each time 📚😂), building forts ⛺️ and constructing lots and lots of LEGOs!
But in the midst of the fun, I did squeeze in time with one of my dearest friends Kelli—who just gave birth to her third baby boy!!!💙💙💙 Kelli & I have known each other since our college days at Penn State and now (thanks to the military🇺🇸)we live less than 30 minutes from each other. It meant so much to me when she asked if I would be interested in photographing her very last baby, Beckham.
A head full of luscious hair and the sweetest cheeks you’ve ever seen, he was a DREAM to document✨Between him and his adorable big brothers, our morning was full of kisses, snuggles and giggles. No matter where we end up with this next move, one thing’s for sure— I will truly miss my beautiful friend and her family. For now, I vow to soak in all the moments I have left here in NJ, knowing life will soon look very different in a brand new location♥️ (01.19.20)
