#TheDreamMakers Retreat | Zion National Park, Utah | Headshots
Back in October, for the FIRST TIME in my photography career, I traveled across the country to invest in myself as an artist AND my business at the #DreamMakers retreat at #ZionNationalPark, Utah.
Learning from three of THE MOST TALENTED family photographers (Stormy Solis Photography, Sweet Beginnings Photography by Stephanieand Jodi Lynn Photography), I was one of 17 ladies who had this opportunity of a lifetime to glean wisdom, support and encouragement while also connecting with other creatives who share a similar passion.
I know I am WAY late in sharing these images, but I promise I have a valid excuse! 😂 It was upon leaving this workshop I became VERY ill as I was entering my sixth week of pregnancy. Nausea and fatigue coupled with my BUSIEST season for my business forced me to put all this non-client (unpaid🤣) editing on the back burner.
But alas, here’s the first set of images from our very first shoot led by Stephanie Tetreault and Jodi Lynn Buckles, focused on capturing self portraits of our fellow attendees.

My first ever FEMALE senior portrait session was a success!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Madison & I struck the sunshine jackpot and basked in the most gorgeous lighting!☀️Not to mention, her bubbly personality made the whole evening a cinch! (10.14.19)

{Kelly M. | The Willows Park, PA | Headshot Session}
I don’t always do professional headshot sessions but when I do, you can bet they’re full of sunlight, laughter and a whole lotta personality ☀️😅💃🏻 If you’ve ever met Kelly McFadden, you know she’s a sincerely special lady— friendly, outgoing and hilarious to boot. Not to mention, she looks like Irish royalty with her fair skin and bright blue eyes😍 So it came as no surprise how much FUN I had photographing her!
We’ve been friends since meeting at Penn State in 2005 and have stayed in touch throughout the years. And while she’s worked in advertising for more than a decade, she recently established her own business as a spiritual mindset coach—helping others to be intentional with their lives by journaling & meditating, shifting mindsets and getting in touch with themselves on a deeper level. These photos were taken to help capture her warm, down-to-earth, welcoming aura— and I think we accomplished just that!
This was the third time I’ve ever done headshots and I absolutely loved every second of it! Just thinking of her strutting like a supermodel, twirling her hair and head banging literally has me in tears🤣

{Ben’s Senior Portraits} PA & NJ Lifestyle Photography
Y’all this was my first-ever senior portrait session and I HAD SO MUCH FUN! Most days, I’m wrangling toddlers and squeaking like a mouse or bouncing like a frog to get babies to laugh, but this session (with a soon-to-be adult) was wayyyyy easier and relaxing! Ben’s mom April lives in my neighborhood and we see each other at the bus stop with our little ones every morning. She had asked me months ago about taking his portraits and we decided to wait until spring once the weather got nicer. Might I add, I am SO happy she and her husband wanted to be included in the session! What special memories they now have with their son!
